You can do better if you go to the airport when they are flying to an away match – not the terminal though, they park at the flying club on the south side of the airport, get the gear out of the boot, mill about a bit, then wander off to their chartered flight. Mid-morning on relevant Saturdays – but watch out because sometimes Sunderland do the same routine on alternate weekends.
