MORE EXPERIENCE NEEDED

The manager of Newcastle United, Alan Pardew, has said that if the club had bought the experienced players in the pre season and mid season transfer windows, then, it would not have been in danger of finishing in relegation zone at this point of time.

Newcastle United is currently at the 16th position in the Premier League points table. They have played 35 matches so far out of which they have won 10; have lost 18 and the remaining 7 matches have finished in the form of draws. They still have to play three games.

The Newcastle United team has secured just 5 points in their last 8 matches. If they continue playing with this kind of form in the remaining three games, there is a good possibility that they will finish in the relegation zone.

There also have been reports that the environment in Newcastle’s dressing room is not good. There are disputes between several players and also, there are language problems as there are a lot of French players in the squad. But, Pardew has denied those reports.

The Newcastle manager said, “Frankly speaking, I don’t think language problem is the issue here. Actually, we were not that smart in the transfer market this season. We went for players who didn’t have too much experience of playing in England. That’s the main cause of team’s poor performance.”

“You can’t expect a player to go great guns in his very first season in England. It’s very hard. You need to have experience to do well in these conditions.”

Newcastle United’s next match will be against West Ham United. That match will be played on Saturday at Boleyn Ground.

When asked about that match, Pardew said, “They are a tough side to beat on their home ground. They also have a lot of experience in their squad with the likes of Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll. They are not going to make things easy for us; that’s for sure.”

“It’s a very important game for us. We desperately need three points. Hopefully, we will be able to get that.”
